Align Wisconsin is focused on starting with the data and insights that will help drive our approach and our work. We have spent significant time understanding the root of why we continue to have the gap in open good jobs and many still unemployed, as well as what it takes to connect the two.

DATA That tells a story

Demand and Supply Analysis

The 2025 Southeast Wisconsin Demand and Supply Report developed by Align Wisconsin provides an in-depth analysis of workforce dynamics in Racine County, the surrounding region, and also provides comparisons to the state of Wisconsin.  The report aims to assess and highlight the critical misalignment between employer needs and workforce supply and readiness.

Align Wisconsin is happy to meet with local organizations wanting to learn more about the specifics of this information or to alter the filtering criteria to different regions, occupations, or demographics.

RACINE MAP

As part of our Demand/Supply Analysis, Align Wisconsin partnered with the data team at Higher Expectations for Racine County to examine the areas of the city where improving the unemployment rate will have the largest impact on the city's unemployment rate.  By focusing efforts on the five city census tracts outlined in this map, Racine has the best opportunity to end the thirty-five years holding the highest unemployment in the state.  By increasing the Prime Age Employment Rate (age 25-54) from 74.1% to 79.2% (5.1% or 467 people), Racine can achieve the state's unemployment rate.

Sustainable wage tool

Higher Expectations for Racine County has developed a Sustainable Wage Tool, unique to employment data in Racine County.

workforce intermediary studies

As part of the work of Align Wisconsin, we are partnering with the Hoover Institute at Stanford University to research random control studies examining workforce intermediaries across the county, the results of these studies, and what specifically made them unique and successful over time.

Below are overviews and links to these studies.
